Come out and show us your singing skills. The day’s festivities will include a talent show with prizes to the winners who are selected by the crowd applause. These will be live performances of clean (songs that do not contain offensive content) music on the front lawn of the Douglasville Police Department. Local artists will be present while community members are invited to show up and participate in the day. This is an organized event over the period of a few hours where you can relax, bring a lawn chair, and enjoy what the summer day has to offer. We will have food trucks and vendors. If you wish to know more, or learn how to participate, we welcome you to contact us to get more information. If you wish to register as a vendor, we have limited space, so call to sign up today. Vendor spots are $10 and require registration.

Once every two years, one of the largest groups of artists in Douglas County come together to display the work they have been creating. This exhibit is known to have on display everything from stained glass shining through the windows to clay sculptures and wood-turned vessels, along with breathtaking paintings and plenty of surprises between. The exhibit will be on display from May 9 to June 23, with an opening reception on May 26, from 6:00-8:00 pm, hosted by the Rotary Club of Douglas County.

What better time to show off some awesome, unique, antique, and detailed cars, trucks, and motorcycles than a fun day out with family and friends at a car show. This event is FREE to participate and attend. Whether you wish to bring your car and participate in the show, request to be a food vendor, or want to just come and see all the day has to offer, we invite you to get information ahead of time and make this a day for the whole family. You only spend money if you purchase from a food vendor. This is a new community outreach effort to show how we want our community to be one with us. Let’s have a fun-filled day together!
We do ask participants to pre-register so that we will know how much space is needed.

The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County, in partnership with the City of Douglasville, is ready to celebrate Spring with the community’s most popular event of the year, the annual Taste of Douglasville! Each year, participants not only enjoy Taste of Douglasville, but they also help the Cultural Arts Council support school programs reaching local students, providing affordable spring and summer arts camps in county and city parks, free “Family ARTSVentures!” curricula-based school performances followed by the same artists performing spring and fall concerts for the whole family, critically acclaimed gallery exhibits at the historic Roberts-Mozley House, and many more special events like the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

Join Tricia Wright, with Yoga Be Happy, for a one-hour, all-levels, yoga class while 15+ Alpacas roam free amongst us. The class is rejuvenating, dynamic and relaxing. This is an all-levels class, as modifications will be introduced for beginners through advanced. This is a truly unforgettable and unique experience. Embrace the powerful benefits of traditional yoga, nature and animal therapy.
**After, stay for mimosas or juice on us! Hang out with the beautiful creatures for a bit.
**Please do not bring any glass items to the farm.
**Please arrive ONLY 10-15 minutes early to fill out a general liability waiver, COVID-19 waiver and find a spot for your mat.
**Please bring a mat.
**You may want to bring a towel for underneath your mat, as we will be in a field. We encourage you to bring a water bottle.
**Please check the weather. Dress accordingly. We will warm up quickly during class!
** Come rain or shine, if raining we can do it in our open air barn!

Spend a fun-filled Saturday with Kitty Up Cat Rescue at L&R Alpaca Haven Farm!

There will be bingo🎲, 🎟raffle items to win, and pizza🍕
All proceeds benefit our various programs: We focus on rescuing and helping stray cats with our spay/neuter program, alongside our educating efforts, adoption/fostering program, TNR program, pledging program, and transporting. We are working to help decrease the overpopulation of cats and increase the number of cats we re-home and help to have a better quality of life.
